Helping Kids Achieve carry out mentoring of young people and bespoke training opportunities with the aim of increasing employability and improving life chances with an emphasis of understanding of trauma informed practice.

Helping Kids Achieve Logo

The project works with disadvantaged communities in Nottingham, improving the life chances of children and young people, in particular those from BAME communities, in order to and divert them away from crime and anti-social behaviour.

Helping Kids Achieve provide stable, supportive relationships through which individuals can build resilience, improve self-esteem, and talk about their issues without fear or judgement. The objectives are of the project are:

  • To reduce crime and anti-social by engaging with hard to reach young people with complex needs
     

  • To provide training opportunities and work experience to increase employability
